Transport Business Manager

Salary: £30ph

Grafton Recruitment are actively recruiting for an experienced Transport Business Manager to join our client team based in Greater Manchester area. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the site operations, including financial management, business development, strategic planning and team management.

THE ROLE:

Some of your responsibilities as a Transport Business Manager are listed below:

  • Ensure compliant, efficient and effective operation.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyse financial reports, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and revenue growth.
  • Devise and implement strategies to improve profitability and meet financial targets.
  • People focused management professional experienced with the team.
  • Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide feedback to ensure the team's success.
  • Identify potential business opportunities, develop strategic plans, and implement initiatives to expand the customer base.
  • Creating a customer excellence approach & culture.
  • Ensuring training and competency checks are in place for all roles.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate operational performance to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Managing people & assets to deliver/exceed service expectations.
  • Delivering efficient and profitable solutions.
  • Driving innovation and change for customers.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, industry partners, and regulatory agencies to enhance business operations and market presence.

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal Transport Business Manager:

  • Demonstrable years' experience in Fleet& Transport Management, Operations Management.
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety rules/ IOSH/NEBOSH training qualification is required.
  • Possess valid CPC Transport Manager Qualification.
  • Financial and Business Acumen.
  • Capable of demonstrating a high level of initiative and be able to communicate effectively with staff and management teams.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
