- Job Title: Accounts Administrator Location: Insert Location Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Pay Rate: £13.50 - £14.00 per hour (DOE) About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join a busy, friendly team in a well-established company. This varied role combines core accounts responsibilities with general admin support, and plays a key part in keeping things running smoothly day to day. Key Responsibilities: Accounts & Payroll:
- Process weekly/monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Maintain payroll records and liaise with HMRC as needed
- Handle purchase ledger duties - matching, batching and coding invoices
- Send out customer invoices and assist with credit control where required
- Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end reporting
- General office admin including filing, data entry, and document management
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct to the appropriate person
- Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding invoice/payment queries
- Support other departments with administrative tasks as needed
- Previous experience in an accounts/admin role (ideally with payroll and purchase ledger exposure)
- Strong attention to detail and good numeracy skills
- Proficient with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks - depending on what you use)
- Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and working to deadlines
- Friendly and professional phone manner
- Organised, methodical, and accurate
- Able to work independently and within a small team
