- Undertake financial analysis and advise clients on strategic and commercial options.
- Support negotiations with buyers, investors, funders and their advisers.
- Manage project budgets, risks, deliverables and client expectations.
- Develop new business opportunities and convert prospects into fee-paying mandates.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, management teams, professional advisers and referral sources.
- Contribute to the development of the corporate finance pipeline and wider market presence.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, supporting their technical and professional development.
- Take an active role in the strategic development and future growth of the business.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Corporate Finance professional, ideally operating at Director level, with a strong track record of delivering successful transactions and the commercial drive to contribute to the continued growth of the business.
You will be confident working with senior clients and professional advisers and will combine strong technical corporate finance expertise with excellent relationship-building and business development skills.
You will ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong experience within Corporate Finance, M&A, Transaction Services or a related advisory environment.
- Proven experience managing and delivering corporate finance transactions.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
- Excellent understanding of financial statements and key business value drivers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing, coaching and developing junior team members.
- A proactive and entrepreneurial approach to business development.
- Experience working with owner-managed businesses, private equity investors or entrepreneurial clients would be advantageous.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Corporate Finance professional who wants more than simply delivering transactions.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a significant role in business development, client relationship management and the future strategic direction of the firm, with genuine scope for progression and increased leadership responsibility.
