Our client is an established, yet forward looking consultancy business committed to excellent client service and employee engagement which has led to consistent, sustainable growth. A leading name in their sector, the growth has flagged the need for a more focused approach to financial and commercial analysis leading to a newly created Finance Business Partner opportunity.

Reporting to the Finance Director you will be a key part of the finance team but reaching across all elements of the business. Duties will vary and develop with you in the role but will include:

  • Develop and analyse budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial management reports.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, debt, and work-in-progress (WIP) control processes, as well as outstanding work values.
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends impacting business performance, and propose initiatives for improvement, including enhancements to reporting processes.
  • Production of monthly management accounts and associated variance analysis to enable the Board to make quick, informed, commercial & strategic decisions
  • Identify and implement process, reporting and control improvements with a drive to drive best in class commercial analysis
  • Ad hoc analysis, reporting and accounting tasks as required

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with excellent analysis and reporting skills supported with excellent capability across SQL, macros, and Power BI. You will also have strong financial experience and be very comfortable producing and analysing P&Ls, budgets and cash flows. And you will be commercial and have proven communication and partnering skills.
