Your Role at a Glance

As Finance Director, you will:

• Champion our financial planning and forecasting, delivering robust 5-year strategies aligned with group objectives.
• Provide data-driven insight and strategic partnership to senior stakeholders across the business.
• Lead all aspects of financial reporting and commercial analysis helping us turn numbers into narrative and strategy into success.
• Collaborate with affinity partners and lead financial aspects of negotiations to drive income and EBITDA improvement.
• Build and nurture a high-performing finance team and instil a culture of accountability and excellence.

What You ll Be Responsible For

Strategic & Commercial Leadership

• Partner with Executives to shape and deliver revenue-driving strategies.
• Present clear, actionable insights on performance, risks, and opportunities.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Oversee end-to-end reporting: operational, trading, and financial metrics.
• Improve forecasting and variance analysis processes.

Business Partnering

• Work closely with Commercial Leads to evaluate initiatives and partnership outcomes.
• Lead pricing and benchmarking strategies with market and competitor analysis.

Team Leadership

• Inspire, develop, and lead a best-in-class finance team.
• Promote continuous improvement and uphold FCA compliance.

Operational Excellence

• Strengthen financial controls and ensure robust governance across all operations.

What You ll Bring

Must-Haves:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Senior-level commercial finance experience, ideally in insurance/insurance broking or Retail banking
• Strong leadership background in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:

• Experience negotiating and managing third-party commercial relationships.
• Deep understanding of the insurance distribution market.
