Job Title: Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Engineer Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester. Holding a strong North West presence, they are now seeking to take on a Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Engineer to cover Commercial & Industrial contracts alongside a long standing team of risk assessors / engineers. You will be undertaking legionella risk assessments on both hot and cold-water systems alongside water sampling, temperature monitoring and flushing of little used outlets. Extensive industry relevant experience working as a Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Engineer. " Will have a keen eye for detail and good IT skills, able to produce reports / management plans / update logbooks. " Excellent knowledge of HSG 247 / ACoP L8 guidelines. " Able to work in line with company / client timeframes. The Role:" Attending Commercial & Industrial sites to carry out Legionella Risk Assessments on both hot and cold-water systems." Water sampling. " Temperature monitoring. " TMV servicing and failsafe testing. " CWST cleans and disinfections." Flushing of little used outlets. " Creating schematic drawings. " Ensuring risk assessments are completed in line with site specific schematic drawings." Working in line with HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines. " Creating detailed legionella reports based on site findings. " Providing clients with legionella management plans, ensuring they are aware of actions that need to be implemented. " Updating onsite logbooks upon completion of work. Long term contract role Outside IR35 South Manchester based Ideally have a Civils & Buildings background The job role of a design manager will therefore cover the following duties: • Motivating and encouraging internal and external design teams. • Ensuring drawings and designs are produced on time, to a high quality and are easy to read. • Overseeing the design process using technical expertise. • Establish and maintain a programme that shows all key design activities and envisaged sign off dates. • Establishing a design sign off process for projects within the programme and to capture feedback and ensure the designs are actioned appropriately. • Working with the client to ensure that their expectations are met, this will include stakeholder mapping and setting up various collaborative sessions to ensure designs are delivered correctly first time and relevant feedback is captured and actioned through the design process. • To be the key point of contact for the most up to date position of designs and maintain records to this effect. • Reviewing designs with health and safety in mind working alongside the PM s, CM s and PD to ensure health and safety is front and centre. • Reviewing designs alongside the project team to help avoid errors and reduce financial risk during the construction phase. • Ensuring designs are available to those who need them, at the appropriate time putting in place appropriate controls to ensure only one version of a design is live at any time. • Maintaining thorough documentation of the design process, inclusive of revisions and design sign off at various stages throughout the project life cycles. • Keeping up-to-date with changing legislation and codes of practice relating to design, to ensure the designs are compliant with current standards. • Office based role with site visits alongside the project teams to understand the design development of projects.
