Job Title: HSQE Advisor / Manager (Rail)

Location: Northwest England

About Us: We are a major rail contractor with a strong reputation for investing in our people and excellent staff retention. We are looking for a proactive and experienced HSQE Advisor / Manager to join our team, supporting our operations in the Northwest and Central region.

The Role: As an HSQE Advisor / Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting our business management systems on-site. This hands-on role requires you to be out on-site three days a week, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively support and manage the business management system across sites
  • Work closely with the HSQE Manager for the eastern region
  • Ensure teams operate safely and in compliance with HSQE standards
  • Identify issues, provide solutions, and influence positive change on-site
  • Proactively prevent accidents and incidents by identifying risks
  • Manage and conduct internal audits in-house
  • Maintain and update the HSQE System in line with legislation

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the rail industry
  • NEBOSH and IOSH qualifications
  • Proven experience in auditing
  • Solid knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Full UK driving licence
