Principal Engineer - Control & Instrumentation
Your new company Your new company is a Global Leader within consultancy Engineering, with a strong reputation in the Nuclear, Defence, Energy, Chemical and Aviation industries. A leader in innovation, they are known for being at the forefront of the industry, working alongside and providing solutions for a number of Blue-Chip organisations. You will be joining a high-performing Engineering Team who are looking to add another EC&I Engineer to their team.Your new role As a Principal EC&I Engineer within the team, you will have the option to work across numerous industries, or focus on a select few. With many projects coming, you will be a key member of the project delivery team for a range of challenging projects ranging from small to significant scale and complexity. Your primary role will be to generate EC&I designs and specifications as part of a multidisciplinary design team. A few responsibilities are listed below:
Contribute towards and lead EC&I packages of work as part of multidisciplinary projectsWork closely with clients to fully meet their requirements and develop repeated work through excellent performance and qualityTo develop EC&I knowledge and skills, to be an in-house technical expert through experience and learning, supported by formal trainingWhat you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you will have significant (8-10 years) experience in EC&I design and overseeing the delivery of the full project lifecycle. Desirable experience would be experience operating in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries with knowledge of hazardous area equipment selection and installation design requirements. Being a Chartered Engineer is desired. If not Chartered, they will support you through the process.
What you'll get in return In return for this role, you will receive an excellent base salary of between £75,000 - £85,000 + benefits, which include bonuses, flexible and hybrid working and professional memberships paid for.
