Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager required to join a global leading engineering manufacturer. The successful Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing key accounts, generating new business opportunities across the Northwest, as well as leading a high-performing regional sales team. You will be selling products such as valves, pneumatics, sensors, pumps, instrumentation, and associated products. Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will ideally have experience selling engineered products and solutions, with the desire to grow sales plus manage an engineering sales team. - Managing a number of key accounts for engineering products such as valves, sensors, pumps, instrumentation, pneumatics, and associated equipment via OEM and end user customers.
- Manage and grow existing relationships as well as business development, selling valve and flow control solutions.
- Manage a small team of Sales Engineers.
- Maintaining new valve product sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
- Working closely with the service and technical support teams to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
- Liaise with various engineering departments.
- Fully remote covering the North West region.
- Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Representative or similar within engineering.
- A technical mechanical engineering qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
- Experience selling, servicing, or managing accounts within flow control, valves, pumps, instrumentation, pneumatics, or other transferable products such as hydraulics, MRO, rotating equipment, or industrial systems.
- Knowledge of the flow control market, including valves, sensors, instrumentation, pneumatics, or related products/services is advantageous.
- Valve Service Engineers looking to come off the tools and progress into a sales role would also be of interest.
- Full clean driving license. Willingness to travel across the North West region.
