My client, a large, highly-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, near the lively, green metropolitan area of Salford.

Essential Criteria:

  • A Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Environmental Management, or other relevant discipline
  • Extensive experience of having worked in a design-based role in a consultancy setting
  • Demonstrable experience of having produced flood risk and drainage strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)
  • Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (namely S38, S278, S104, etc.)
  • Competent in the use of Causeway Flow, InfoDrainage, and other relevant software packages
  • A willingness to learn and develop technical skills through hands-on experience

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Senior Flood Risk Consultant to possess the following:

  • Experience of leading a team or projects
  • Strong technical skills, and an analytical mindset

As Senior Flood Risk Consultant, you will be joining a specialist team of engineers, working on several high-profile projects across the region. As you progress through your career, you will take on a range of different responsibilities, including the following:

  • Contributing to a range of exciting projects, developing flood risk and drainage strategies
  • Working with the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard, within given timeframes and budgetary restrictions
  • Undertaking the relevant technical analysis using software packages
  • Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including drawings, calculations, and models
  • Liaising with a range of public and private stakeholders
  • Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections
  • Developing and maintaining client and stakeholder relations
  • Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
