Our client, a renowned entity in the Energy sector, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer on a contract basis. This role demands expertise in electrical engineering to support various critical projects and proposals within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical input for electrical discipline on projects and proposals
  • Prepare, check, and approve engineering documentation
  • Ensure compliance with national and international codes of practice, legislation, and company/client standards
  • Prepare equipment and materials requisitions for HV and LV switchboards, transformers, UPS systems, power factor correction, trace-heating, lighting, and other electrical equipment
  • Prepare installation scopes of work
  • Review suppliers' quotations and prepare technical bid assessments
More Specific Tasks:
  • Cable, lighting, and lightning calculations
  • Electrical equipment ageing and obsolescence management
  • Supporting site teams with operational issues
Job Requirements:
  • Substantial experience in electrical engineering within the Energy sector
  • In-depth knowledge of HV and LV systems, UPS, and other electrical equipment
  • Strong understanding of relevant codes of practice, standards, and legislation
  • Excellent technical documentation preparation and review skills
  • Proficiency in technical bid assessments and supplier quotation reviews
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive installation scopes of work
  • Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and team collaboration abilities

The principal level position is more of an Owners Engineering role acting as the client on their behalf.
