Our client, a global manufacturer who is renowned for its well-known household brands, is currently on the look-out for a Site Services Electrician to join their team. Job details:
- Carry out and document all site electrical maintenance safely and on schedule.
- Work with the maintenance planner and stores to coordinate required parts and materials.
- Respond swiftly to electrical breakdowns to reduce downtime.
- Actively engage in Continuous Improvement, Skills Development, and Health & Safety teams.
- Support the development of engineering apprentices.
- Participate in process and capital projects.
- Deputise for the Facilities & Services Coordinator when needed.
- Achievement of departmental KPIs and PPM targets.
- Accurate and up-to-date engineering documentation and reports.
- Delivery of agreed SMART objectives set during appraisals.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards via regular inspections of: Electrical Workshops, L.V Substations and Toolboxes.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant safety and technical regulations, including Risk Assessments, COSHH, PUWER, EAWR, and BS7671.
Essential Qualifications / Experience:
- Must have successfully completed a recognised full engineering apprenticeship.
- Recognised qualification in electrical/electronic engineering.
- 18th Edition wiring regulations or willingness to attain.
- Must have previous experience working within an industrial environment.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience in:
- Installing and maintaining electrical factory systems
- Process control instruments (e.g. flow meters, sensors, valves), Instrument calibration, PAT testing, Panel building and wiring, Lighting system installation and maintenance, Alarm system maintenance and testing, LV distribution systems.
- Basic understanding of fieldbus and industrial communication technologies.
- Cherry picker competent.
What s on offer:
- Shift: Monday to Friday 7:00am 3:00pm
- Salary: £40,500 - £41,500
- Overtime available at time and a half
