Catering Assistant
12.30 Hourly
Premier Work Support are currently seeking reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistants to join our client's team. The successful candidates will assist with the preparation and service of food, ensuring high standards of hygiene and customer service are always maintained. Responsibilities:
- Ensure any incidents/near misses etc. are promptly reported through the reporting mechanism in place.
- Ensure all company and statutory Health & Safety and QMS processes and procedures are adhered to.
- It is the responsibility of all employees to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all.
- Where relevant, ensure applicable Safeguarding procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Contribute to effective team interaction.
- Identify any requirements for training to ensure full understanding of systems, process and procedures.
- Keep track of lessons learned and share those lessons with team.
- Keep line management informed of any issues arising with the provision of the service.
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with site teams.
- Communicate effectively with all teams and Service Users to identify needs and alternative solutions where appropriate.
- To complete initial new starter induction and compulsory role training within specified period.
- Maintain professional/technical competence requirements.
- Keep up to date with industry developments and legislative requirements.
- Internal Operations
- Identify areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
- Comply with standard policies and procedures., including ISO 9001/14001 processes.
- A high level of integrity and professionalism must be demonstrated and always maintained
Key Duties:
- Carry out cleaning - both general and equipment, as instructed via schedules.
- Undertake training deemed relevant to the position.
- Ensure 15-minute handover regime in place and adhered to.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure all external access ways are always kept clean and tidy.
- Role model company values at all times.
- Complete work in accordance with schedules and instructions, and in line with service agreements.
- Preparation of food in line with the client recipes, ensuring appropriate preparation and storage guidelines are followed.
- Stock taking, where appropriate, and keeping records of stock levels as required.
- To observe excellent personal hygiene and appearance, including uniform, presenting a professional appearance at all times.
Shift Timing:
Monday-Friday, term-time only. Hours: 10:15-14:00.
Payrate: 12.30 per hour
