Position Title: Business Analyst

Location: Manchester, UK

Job Purpose (Overview):

The programme will modernise the technologies that support our Market-to-Cash and Order-to-Cash processes throughout the customer lifecycle.

This includes implementing a tech stack made up of market-leading CRM and integration platforms, along with industry-specific applications. Delivery follows a hybrid Agile/Waterfall approach involving multiple vendors.

We are seeking a Business Analyst with:

• Strong experience in business analysis techniques
• Proven skill in documenting requirements to a defined standard
• A background ideally in the energy sector
• Experience with energy solution design and delivery (e.g., CRM, Billing, Market Interaction, Pricing, Credit Risk Management)
• Familiarity with end-to-end value chain integrations in the non-domestic sector (e.g., Gain Customer, Maintain Customer, Billing, Payments, Collections)

Main Focus of the Position

• Provide expert analysis and documentation support to cross-functional project teams.
• Work directly with stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into functional specifications.

• Internal: Business Stakeholders, Internal Delivery Teams
• External: Vendors and Solution Partners

Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Conduct stakeholder analysis and gather detailed requirements.
2. Document business and functional requirements.
3. Collaborate with technical teams on solution design.
4. Support testing and validation of developed features.
5. Provide regular updates to project leadership.
6. Ensure traceability of requirements through development lifecycle.
7. Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
8. Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
9. Maintain documentation standards and knowledge base.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Relevant education and training in Business Analysis or a related field
• Lean or BA accreditation (e.g., BCS, IIBA)
• Agile/Scrum certification preferred

Professional Experience

• Demonstrated experience in large-scale transformation projects
• Experience in the energy industry or similar sectors
• Familiarity with CRM, billing systems, and market interfaces
