Job Title:Mobile Developer Location: Manchester, Hybrid Salary: Up to 65K

The Role

The Mobile Software Engineer will play a key role in developing the next generation of mobile applications, enhancing functionality and usability for customers. Working within an Agile team, you will design, build, and maintain cross-platform mobile apps using Kotlin and Compose UI while ensuring secure and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mobile App Development: Design and develop high-quality cross-platform mobile applications using Kotlin and Compose UI.
  • Agile Collaboration: Participate in Agile practices, including backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Thoroughly test your work before handing it off to QA to ensure a balance between speed and quality.
  • Secure Development: Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer systems and data.
  • Team Collaboration: Work as part of a highly skilled team, supporting and being supported by colleagues to achieve shared goals.

Skills and Experience

Must-Have:

  • 2+ years of commercial app development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Kotlin development.
  • Experience with cross-platform mobile development for iOS and Android.
  • Proficiency with Compose UI.
  • Strong spoken and written English skills.
  • Familiarity with Git for version control.
  • Interest in or experience with secure development practices.

Nice to Have:

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Jenkins, BitBucket, and Jira.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, including SCRUM and TDD.
  • Familiarity with Prism frameworks.
