The Role - Paralegal - COP

We are looking for someone to undertake fee-earning and support work and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the Court of Protection team.

The role will see you responsible for providing cost effective administrative and secretarial support to the partner and other senior fee-earners in the team in the work of the department. In addition you will undertake certain elements of fee-earning work under supervision but not as a designated matter handler.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing paralegal support to the Court of Protection Team
  • Supporting existing Paralegal with client unoccupied property inspections
  • Attending on client property clearances, lock changes
  • Liaising with estate agents and other professionals
  • Preparing detailed and accurate file notes
  • General admin support

It would be ideal if you were able to bring some previous experience of working within Court of Protection or Private Client, but it is a necessity that you possess the empathy and understanding to deal with vulnerable clients.
