Job Purpose:

To provide working drawings and supplementary information to facilitate the design, manufacture, and installation of bespoke joinery and associated products and services. The role involves working from quotations, architectural drawings, specifications, and site surveys to produce cost-effective, accurate, and practical solutions. Ensuring timely delivery of all project-related documentation is essential.

The primary focus is on high-end contemporary bespoke works and high-quality commercial fit-outs, mostly within urban locations.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Review quotations and optimize cost benefits when producing working drawings.
  2. Attend site meetings, conduct design coordination, and perform surveys as required.
  3. Coordinate details and interfaces with other trade contractors.
  4. Develop designs that ensure high-quality installation and efficient manufacturing.
  5. Organize site visits for surveys or detailed templating.
  6. Address and resolve all design-related queries prior to drawing approval.
  7. Confirm installation dates and communicate timelines effectively to clients.
  8. Produce drawing release schedules and manage client approval of samples.
  9. Ensure all working drawings meet project specifications and are fit for purpose.
  10. Maintain accurate documentation, filing approved and superseded drawings appropriately.
  11. Prepare production checklists and issue purchase orders.
  12. Communicate technical details effectively with the internal team and joiners.
  13. Monitor project progress and update working drawings as needed.
  14. Liaise with clients to manage expectations and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
  15. Ensure risk and method statements are issued prior to installation.

  • Relevant qualifications in CAD design or project coordination (e.g., NVQ, City and Guilds, degree).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Logical and thorough approach to problem-solving.
  • Clean driving license.

  • Daily quality control during factory walk-arounds.
  • Effective communication with clients, suppliers, and the internal team.
