Market Leading Food Manufacturer looking to recruit

ROLE

BASED NEAR OPENSHAW, GREATER MANCHESTER

Part of the senior leadership team 2 QA and 12 hygiene team direct reports 60 people on site

Job Purpose

To provide strategic technical leadership for the company, ensuring that the technical agenda meets customer and business requirements. To ensure that the business operates within the required technical and hygiene standards, by adhering to business, customer and legal standards. Develop and lead a strong quality culture, ensuring products meet and exceed customers standards, expectations, and legislative requirements.

Reporting to the Site Director, Key Responsibilities include the following:

1. To ensure that technical governance across the company delivers audit compliance with respect to internal, external and legal requirements

2. To provide a senior interface with customers to deliver exceptional standards of customer service and adherence to customer policies and requirements

3. To provide leadership of the technical & hygiene function in order to drive a consistent approach to technical standards, processes and governance

4. To lead and manage the Technical and Hygiene functions within the business

5. Maintain, develop and implement the Company Quality Manual systems, ensuring BRC and customer technical standards are met.

6. Maintain awareness of customer specific policies, legal requirements, and any associated regulations

7. To regularly monitor and improve all aspects of the quality management systems. Non-conformances should be addressed in a timely manner and robust solutions implemented to prevent recurrence.

8. Maintain an overview of the Company HACCP team to ensure that HACCP plan is functioning correctly and assuring the safety and integrity of processes and products

CANDIDATE

You will have a proven track record in Technical/Quality Management within the Food Manufacturing sector. You will be accustomed to working to BRC and HACCP standards. Food Science Degree or equivalent would be desirable. You will be ready to work closely with NPD in terms of project management. This is an opportunity to be part of a really positive and well established team!

Monday to Friday 8 hours per day flexible working hours, which includes a 30-minute lunch break.

1 day Working from Home.

25 Holiday days + 8 Bank holiday Private Health Care Pension (3% - 5%)
