We are looking for a skilled communications assistant to join our client on an initial 6 month contract, with the potential of becoming a permanent job.

The position offers lots of flexibility with up to 3 days a week remote working, along with the opportunity to get involved with some exciting upcoming projects.

Communications Assistant responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of communication plans.
  • Write and edit copy for internal and external communications, including press. releases, newsletters, social media posts, and website content.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communications.
  • Monitor and respond to company social media accounts.
  • Help plan and coordinate events and conferences.
  • Assist with media relations and outreach.
  • Conduct research to support communications efforts.
  • Help prepare materials for presentations, speeches, and meetings.

Required skills

  • Experience in a similar position
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with social media management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign.)
