We are working exclusively with a market-leading organisation within the health and wellbeing sector to support the recruitment of a Head of Group Bids!

As Head of Group Bids, you will lead the Group Bids team, managing the end-to-end bid process to secure new business and support client retention strategies.

You will play a key role in driving the organisation's growth by developing compelling, high-quality proposals and managing a range of complex opportunities.

This role will also involve establishing a group-wide bids function to support tenders across multiple companies within the wider group.

Day to Day

  • Lead the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification to submission and post-bid reviews.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the Bids team to deliver high-quality proposals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create bespoke, client-centric bid responses.
  • Drive continuous improvement across bid processes, content libraries, and internal systems.
  • Develop and deliver compelling renewal strategies to support client retention.
  • Provide strategic insights into bid outcomes, market trends, and business opportunities.
  • Present bid proposals to both internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.

YOU?

  • Proven experience leading bids teams within a fast-paced, commercial professional services environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing or mentoring teams.
  • Commercially astute with a "win all bids" mindset.
  • Experience within the healthcare, wellbeing, or counselling sectors is desirable but not essential.
