Transporter / FLT Driver

Shift Basis (12 hour shifts - Including Days and Nights + On Call)

£28,600 + Excellent Benefits / Over Time Opportunities

At our Golborne site (5 mins from the J22 or J23 M6) based on the East Lancs Road, we employ over 270 colleagues' who produce a number of packaging solutions on a 24/7 basis for major international customers.

We now need to strengthen our Transporter Team

Your profile

The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection/movement and recording of finished packed products to the automated wrapper. Bring all required packing materials used within the Packing Department on shift to the relevant production line.

• Working in a busy packing environment moving finished packed products to an automated wrapper.
• Bring all required packing materials to the packing lines.
• Safe and correct use of equipment including a pedestrian ride on truck / FLT/ Pallet wrapper in a heavy pedestrian area.
• Identifying poor quality in either materials or finished goods.
• Flexibility to undertake new tasks as required.
• Work with in housekeeping and 5S guidelines to improve both efficiency and safety

Experience / Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Personable and excellent communication skills
• Able to adhere to strict health and safety guidelines within a busy manufacturing environment
• Previous experience of operating the required machinery
• Must have Valid FLT Counterbalance license + Experience
