Your main focus will be to maintain safetystandards within your team and across your site. You'll alsomonitor and maintain process efficiency. Your days will alwaysinclude prioritising routine team management and daily operationaltasks, alongside other tasks like individual escalations, processimprovement work and wide-scale operational contingency planning.Being a key part of the operations teaminvolves working with colleagues in other teams and externalpartners to make sure we stay on track to meet our customer demandsand targets. This will involve analysing data and performancemetrics with leaders in your business area, as well as discussingthe operational pros and cons of technical improvements withengineers. As a graduate Area/Shift manager you could beplaced within one of these teams:• The CustomerFulfiilment (CF) team are the first people in the chain that helpscustomers get products at the speed we're known for. Based inFulfilment Centres, which are at the heart of Amazon's fast-pacedOperations network. Our centres are sometimes referred to as the'First Mile' because it's where most Amazon packages start theirjourney. The CF help to manage dynamic inventory and facilitatespeedy deliveries round the clock.• Amazon couldn'tdeliver at pace without the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS)team. Using air, sea and road transport, as well as sortationcentres equipped with the latest technology, you'll help Amazon'stransport run at maximum efficiency. ATS analsyes data and uses theexpertise of our people to get packages to their destination -quickly, conveniently and sustainably. • AmazonLogistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties inpartnership with third-party distribution businesses. Utilisingcreative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to getmillions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Thegoal is to make our customers' delivery experience as smooth aspossible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newestconcepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and AmazonRestaurants. BASICQUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree (or working towards abachelor's degree) - Advanced proficiency in written andverbal English - Relevant experience in performing dataanalysis PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -Experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders,including your peers and leadership - Experience in alogistical working environment - Experience working withthe MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professionalenvironmentAmazon is an equalopportunities employer.
