A leading international manufacturer is seeking a hands-on, results-driven leader to take full ownership of its Manchester production and logistics operations

This is a senior site leadership role with responsibility for manufacturing, technical operations, and supply chain coordination ensuring products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations, ensuring production runs efficiently, safely, and to specification.
• Drive a culture of health, safety, and environmental compliance, working with EHS and Quality teams.
• Manage production schedules, cost control, and resource allocation to meet customer and business targets.
• Partner with Engineering on capital projects, plant maintenance, and process improvement.
• Oversee logistics, inventory, and material management, liaising with Procurement and Supply Chain.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve performance.
• Provide strong leadership and development to production, technical, and operations teams.
• Support audits and maintain GFSI and food safety standards.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor s degree (technical or business discipline preferred).
• Minimum 5 years management experience in manufacturing, operations, or plant management.
• Strong understanding of production processes, logistics, and quality systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proven experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or process optimisation.
• Experience within the food manufacturing, FMCG, or process industry is highly desirable.
