With over 35 years of trading and nearly a century of collective experience, Ric Wood Motorsport has become synonymous with precision manufacturing, rigorous R&D, and innovative engineering solutions.In this role, the Race Technician will be responsible for the preparation, assembly, and maintenance of historic touring cars for UK and European competitions. They will also collaborate with engineers and team members to ensure all vehicles meet the highest performance standards and comply with race regulations.The ideal Race Technician will have proven experience in motorsport vehicle preparation, including drivetrain maintenance, vehicle setup, and thorough component checks to ensure peak performance. They should possess a strong understanding of race regulations, excellent teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The Role:
- Preparation and assembly of historic touring cars for UK and European competitions.
- Maintaining multiple competition vehicles, ensuring all components are checked thoroughly and comply with regulations.
- Collaborating with in-house engineers to ensure all manufactured components meet exact specifications.
- Performing pre-run checklists, including engine checks, gearbox inspections, and drivetrain maintenance.
The Person:
- Proven experience as a Race Technician, preferably in motorsport or vehicle preparation.
- Strong understanding of race regulations and the ability to maintain compliance.
- Skilled in vehicle setup and drivetrain maintenance.
- Flexible approach to working hours and willingness to travel for competitions across the UK and Europe.
