Shunter Driver
17 Hourly
- Moving trailers around a yard, in and out of loading bays.
- Conducting pre and post-trip vehicle checks.
- Ensuring safe and legal operation of the vehicle.
- Complying with UK driving laws and tachograph regulations.
- Potentially covering Class 1 deliveries or trunking work.
- Licence: Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence.
- Experience: Shunter Driver experience preferred, minimum experience (e.g., 1 year), or experience with specific equipment like a tugmaster.
- CPC and Tachograph Card: Valid driver CPC and digital tachograph cards.
- Other: Forklift licence (if required), no more than six points on driving licence.
- No more than 6 current penalty points
- No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements within the previous 5 years
- Good knowledge of driver's hours and WTD regulations.
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and record-keeping skills.
- Flexibility with working hours.
