Job Title: Transport Supervisor Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per year Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Shift and Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, with some weekend and bank holiday work flexibility.Location: Greater Manchester Working for a waste services company based in Greater Manchester they are proud of the service they deliver within the communities they work in and are now looking for Transport Supervisor to join their team. Job Purpose: The Transport Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of drivers and planners, ensuring service excellence and compliance with operational, safety, service, and legal standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and monitor the performance of the traffic dispatcher team. Manage daily shift operations and ensure vehicle availability. Motivate, train, and develop team members. Handle underperformance and absence management. Plan for new work and tactical re-routes. Ensure customer service excellence and address routing issues. Contribute to cost control and efficiency improvements. Conduct driver recruitment and training. Ensure compliance with transport legislation and company policies. Manage health and safety non-conformances and vehicle inspections. Experience with Microsoft Office, logistics, and customer service. Ability to read and write in English. Manual handling capacity.
