AECOM's Manchester office requires an Infrastructure Associate Director to undertake project management and drive various civil infrastructure-related commercial and residential development projects to help develop the Company's business. The Business Unit is highly multidisciplinary, comprising civil and highway, structural, mechanical, and electrical/process engineers, architects, project managers, and surveyors. Our market sectors include industrial development and logistics, airports, infrastructure development/regeneration, and Government Agency/Local Authority projects. Here's what you'll do:
- You will serve as lead engineer on mid to large-sized projects and be able to lead a team of 5-10 engineers and technicians to program workloads and successfully deliver projects to time, budget, and quality.
- Provide specialised technical input to studies and designs for staff's specific area of expertise.
- Provide technical expertise and present complex technical solutions to clients.
- You will need to perform quality control reviews of work developed by others.
- Provide estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
- Significant experience in UK development-related infrastructure engineering; likely from a private/consultancy background.
- Civil Engineering degree or similar. Chartered Engineer status (MICE)
- Detailed knowledge of drainage design, including piped systems and SuDS-based systems. Be familiar with storage design and computer programs such as InfoDrainage.
- Experience preparing Contract Drawings and Specifications and negotiating Section 38, 278, 104, and 106 Agreements.
