We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join our team working on a prestigious £20m project in collaboration with a leading Tier 1 contractor. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled QS to support a well-established facades and steel subcontractor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Management: Oversee and manage the costs for the facades and steel packages on the project.
• Procurement: Assist with procurement processes, including subcontractor selection and contract negotiations.
• Contract Administration: Administer subcontractor agreements and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate financial reports, ensuring projects remain within budget.
• Variation Management: Identify, assess, and manage variations, ensuring proper documentation and cost control.
• Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure accuracy of work against financials.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, ideally working with facades or steel packages.
• Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects, preferably £10m+.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Previous experience in a freelance or contractor role is advantageous.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Chartered status with RICS or equivalent professional body (desirable but not essential).
