My client is looking for a Passionate H&S Advisor to help create, drive and improve the H&S culture across the business. They are looking to add to their H&S team to meet the growing demand across the company and their sites as they continue to grow and develop their northwest based operations.

This role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering a strong safety culture.

Title: Senior H&S Advisor

Salary: £40k - £45k + Package

Location: Wigan

Sectors: Civil Engineering, Groundworks & Demolition

Responsibilities:

• Managing SHEQ administration to ensure compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Conducting Site audits and ensuring company procedures & protocols are followed.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients to ensure satisfaction from a H&S standpoint.
• Promoting SHEQ best practices across the entire company workforce.
• Maintaining and updating SHEQ registers.
• Conducting site safety audits, safety stand-downs, and implementing Take 5 initiatives.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have experience in a SHEQ role within construction or civil engineering
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Proficiency in SHEQ software, preferably Chime.
• NEBOSH or equivalent in Health & Safety
• Graduate/technical Member of IOSH
• CSCS Card
