An established construction consultancy is seeking a skilled CDM Principal Designer to join their highly experienced team in the North West. This consultancy is renowned for its high-quality international projects, ranging across industries such as automotive, energy, hospitality, residential and life science.
The CDM Principal Designer's Role:
The successful CDM Principal Designer will play a key role in ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and managing design risk on a variety of projects. You will work closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to provide expert advice and ensure health and safety considerations are integrated into the design process from the outset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on and ensuring compliance with CDM regulations
- Managing design risk and ensuring health and safety considerations are integrated into the design process
- Coordinating with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met
- Conducting design reviews and providing guidance on best practices
- Preparing and reviewing pre-construction information and health and safety files
The CDM Principal Designer:
- 1 + years' experience
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, construction management)
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent
- Proven experience in a Principal Designer role within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
