Job description
Our client, a leading consultancy, is currently seeking an Associate Planner to join their team. This role presents a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing town planning projects from inception through to completion
- Providing expert advice and guidance on development management
- Liaising with private sector clients to deliver optimal planning solutions
- Preparing detailed reports, planning applications, and other relevant documentation
- Ensuring compliance with local and national planning policies
- Representing clients at planning committee meetings and public inquiries
- Mentoring and supporting junior planners within the team
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the sector and relevant legislation
Job Requirements:
- Experience in private sector development management and town planning
- Significant expertise in handling complex planning applications
- Understanding of local authority planning processes and frameworks
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- MRTPI accredited
- Proficiency in relevant planning software and tools
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
