Job description

Our client, a leading consultancy, is currently seeking an Associate Planner to join their team. This role presents a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing town planning projects from inception through to completion
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on development management
  • Liaising with private sector clients to deliver optimal planning solutions
  • Preparing detailed reports, planning applications, and other relevant documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with local and national planning policies
  • Representing clients at planning committee meetings and public inquiries
  • Mentoring and supporting junior planners within the team
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the sector and relevant legislation

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in private sector development management and town planning
  • Significant expertise in handling complex planning applications
  • Understanding of local authority planning processes and frameworks
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • MRTPI accredited
  • Proficiency in relevant planning software and tools
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
