We're partnering with a well-regarded Civil Engineering consultancy in Manchester, focused on Transport Infrastructure. They're a small to medium-sized firm, backed by a larger engineering group, with a secured pipeline of major public sector projects - including long-term work on UK infrastructure schemes. They're now looking for a Principal Civil Engineer with experience on National Highways projects and a solid understanding of public sector work. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team with real project stability and clear progression.

What's on Offer:

Requirements:

  • 8+ years' experience in Civil Engineering
  • Background in Highways projects (not required as main focus)
  • Accredited degree in Civil Engineering (MEng, BEng, BSc or equivalent)
  • Based in or near Manchester, able to attend the office 3 days/week
  • Proficient in Civil 3D and S278 design
  • Keen to progress technically and professionally

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project management plans, appointment documents, financial reports & invoices
  • Produce reports, specifications, calculations, drawings, and 3D models
  • Carry out site visits, surveys, inspections, and produce follow-up reports
  • Represent the business in client, design, and project meetings
  • Assist with fee proposals and help win new work
