Job Title: Senior Town PlannerLocation: Manchester, UK

About the Role:Penguin Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a respected planning consultancy in Manchester to recruit a Senior Town Planner. This is a great opportunity for a Chartered Planner to join a supportive and well-established team working on a wide range of planning projects across the North West, with a particular focus on residential and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and delivering planning applications and appeals for residential and mixed-use schemes
  • Providing planning strategy and advice to a wide range of clients
  • Coordinating with local authorities, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Attending public consultations and representing clients at hearings
  • Supporting junior team members and contributing to business development efforts

Requirements:

  • MRTPI Chartered Town Planner (essential)
  • Demonstrable experience working on residential and mixed-use planning schemes, ideally within the North West
  • Strong working knowledge of the UK planning system and local policies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and work both independently and within a team
