Design & Technology Technician Required

About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Design & Technology Technician to join our vibrant department in Bolton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting teaching and learning in Design & Technology, ensuring students have access to well-prepared resources and a safe, organised workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, set up, and maintain tools, materials, and equipment for D&T lessons (including resistant materials, CAD/CAM, and electronics where applicable).

• Ensure all machinery and equipment are safe and maintained in line with health and safety regulations.

• Support teaching staff during practical sessions, including demonstrating safe use of equipment.

• Manage stock, order materials, and maintain accurate records of resources.

• Contribute to a safe, clean, and positive learning environment for students.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a D&T Technician or in a similar technical/engineering environment preferred.

• Strong practical skills with workshop tools and machinery.

• Knowledge of health and safety procedures within a workshop setting.

• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
