EYFS Assistant - Nursery/Reception

Prospero Teaching are delighted to be supporting a lovely Primary School in Salford in recruiting a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Assistant to join their Early Years team.

This school prides itself on providing a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children can develop a love of learning from the very start of their education. The setting is dedicated to encouraging curiosity, creativity, and confidence in all children, with a strong focus on play-based, child-led learning.

About the Role:The school is seeking an EYFS Assistant to support teaching and learning within their Nursery and Reception classes. You will work under the direction of the EYFS Lead and Class Teachers to provide high-quality care and education, helping children meet their developmental milestones in a safe and supportive environment.

This role will involve supporting whole-class activities, leading small groups, and offering one-to-one support where needed. You will play a key role in helping children develop their communication, social, and physical skills while promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

We Welcome Applications From: Experienced EYFS practitioners or Teaching Assistants Candidates with a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or working towards one) Individuals with a genuine passion for supporting children's early development Those who are patient, creative, and enthusiastic about learning through play Team players with excellent communication skills who can work closely with colleagues and parents

Contract Details: Location: Salford Position: EYFS Assistant (Nursery/Reception) Start Date: ASAP / October 2025 Contract Type: Long-term (with potential to become permanent) Working Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm (Monday to Friday, term-time only) Salary: .74 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Requirements: Relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2/3) or significant experience in EYFS Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (or willing to complete) Enhanced Child DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply) Two professional, child-related references
