Psychology Graduate - SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Primary & Secondary SEND Schools, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside Contract: Part-time (2-3 days/week) Start: September 2025 Pay: Competitive daily rate
Empowering Learning is seeking Psychology Graduates to support SEND pupils in schools across Ashton. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in education, supporting children with needs such as Autism, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Complex Needs.
Experience with SEND is desirable but not essential-training and guidance are provided.
Role Responsibilities:
Support pupils with a range of learning difficulties
Build strong, engaging relationships with students
Assist with behaviour management and personal care (if required)
Promote inclusion and learning in the classroom

Candidate Requirements:
Psychology or related degree
Experience supporting children or vulnerable individuals is desirable
Calm, patient, and able to manage challenging behaviour
DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
Available for at least 2-6 months
