Psychology Graduate - SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Primary & Secondary SEND Schools, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside Contract: Part-time (2-3 days/week) Start: September 2025 Pay: Competitive daily rate

Empowering Learning is seeking Psychology Graduates to support SEND pupils in schools across Ashton. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in education, supporting children with needs such as Autism, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Complex Needs.

Experience with SEND is desirable but not essential-training and guidance are provided.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with a range of learning difficulties

  • Build strong, engaging relationships with students

  • Assist with behaviour management and personal care (if required)

  • Promote inclusion and learning in the classroom

Candidate Requirements:

  • Psychology or related degree

  • Experience supporting children or vulnerable individuals is desirable

  • Calm, patient, and able to manage challenging behaviour

  • DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)

  • Available for at least 2-6 months
