SEN Cover Supervisor - Oldham

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Cover Supervisor to join our team.

Position OverviewAs an SEN Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting students with diverse needs. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons, manage classroom behavior, and ensure that every student has the opportunity to engage and succeed in their learning journey. This role requires patience, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in students' lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons, ensuring they are accessible and engaging for students with SEN.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Implement effective behavior management strategies tailored to individual needs.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and SENCOs to adapt lessons and resources as required.
  • Build strong relationships with students to encourage engagement and participation.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide feedback to staff on student progress.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of experience working with children in a school or SEN setting (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of SEN, including knowledge of strategies to support students with autism, ADHD, and other needs.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to diverse learning environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with students and staff.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs and helping them achieve their potential.

Experience

  • Experience working with SEN students: 6 months (preferred).
  • School-based teaching or classroom supervision: 1 year (preferred).
