SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced TA with a passion for working with children with complex needs and non-verbal communication?

We are currently seeking a dedicated TA to work one-on-one with a child in year 1 at primary school in Westhoughton. The child has complex needs which include Global Delay, challenging behaviour and nonverbal communication, the child requires some personal care which involves nappy changing. This is a full-time, ongoing role, working 5 days a week, 8.30am- 3.30pm. with daily pay rates 95-99 depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with complex needs as well as a strong understanding of non-verbal communication methods. Additionally, you should have a positive attitude and be patient.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

• Qualified to NVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent) or higher
• Experience of working with SEND
• Experience of the National Curriculum
• Knowledge of the intervention strategies
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
• Legal right to work in the UK
