At The Supply Register we are partnered with The Prospere Learning Trust to support their recruitment needs and are currently seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join The Grange SEN School full-time.

At The Grange SEN School in Manchester, they are dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential. We are currently seeking a committed and compassionate Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to join their experienced team.

This is an amazing opportunity to work in a purpose-built, inclusive learning environment, helping to shape the future of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

About the Role:

As a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider SEN team to support pupils with a range of complex needs, including ASD, speech and language difficulties, learning delays, and sensory processing challenges.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils in KS1

  • Assisting with the implementation of personalised learning plans

  • Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies

  • Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

  • Liaising with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support

What We re Looking For:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a primary or special school setting

  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting individual needs

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable
