Location: M23, Manchester Start Date: ASAP Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM (30-minute lunch break) Pay Rate: 13.69 to 15.87 per hour Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Teaching Assistant - M23 Manchester Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the M23 area of Manchester. This full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role is to start immediately and is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who thrives in a dynamic environment, working across various classes and year groups.

Teaching Assistant - M23 Manchester The Teaching Assistant will be working across the school, providing support in different classes and with pupils of varying ages. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who enjoys variety in their role and is passionate about making a positive impact on students' learning experiences.

Teaching Assistant - M23 Manchester As a Teaching Assistant in this setting, you'll collaborate with class teachers and the SEND team to ensure that all pupils receive consistent, tailored support that helps them achieve their full potential both academically and emotionally.

Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support across different classes and year groups, adapting to various teaching styles and classroom environments.
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils, supporting those with a range of SEN including ASD, SEMH, MLD, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
  • Assist in implementing EHCP targets and support behaviour regulation strategies.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other Teaching Assistants to maintain a consistent and inclusive learning environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils to build trust and engagement.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:

  • Have prior experience as a Teaching Assistant supporting SEN pupils across different age groups.
  • Be patient, adaptable, and nurturing.
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Show initiative and resilience when supporting challenging behaviour.
  • Be confident in building rapport and delivering tailored interventions.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • References covering the last 2-3 years.
  • Relevant experience in a primary school or SEN setting.
