About the role

As a Teaching Assistant, with a drive to improve the life chances of young people through education, the successful applicant:

• Will be looking for a full-time role and have the empathy and compassion required to support young people with barriers to learning.
• have experience of working with children on a 1 to 1, group, and in-class basis.
• Have a Teaching and Learning qualification level 2 or higher

The successful Teaching Assistant will work on a full-time basis, providing learning support in class, in groups and on a 1-2-1 basis. You will manage behaviour for learning as required and will provide wellbeing support to students with a range of learning needs.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:

• Be able to work 1:1 with students who may demonstrate challenging behaviour and who will have Special Educational Needs
• Have a warm and caring personality
• Have a genuine desire to help students with complex needs

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Have a minimum of 6 weeks relevant school-based experience
