Registered Children's Home Manager (3-Bed EBD Home) 50,000 - 55,000 salary per annum (dependant on experience and qualifications). 2,500 signing bonus & 2,500 successful probation bonus in year one. They are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join them as the Residential Children's Home Manager. This position is open for either an experienced Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager within children's homes to apply for the Registered Manager's position and be a part of launching our first home. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of thier organisation and making a significant impact on the lives of the children they care for.Job Role:As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care that meets the emotional, social, and educational needs of their children. You will ensure that all safeguarding procedures are strictly followed, creating a safe and nurturing environment for their children. You will lead and inspire your team to achieve outstanding outcomes while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory obligations.Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and compliant environment. Lead and manage the team, fostering a culture of excellence, resilience, and continuous improvement. Establish and maintain a safe environment that prevents harm to children, ensuring that all staff are trained to recognise and appropriately respond to signs of abuse and safeguarding concerns. Ensure that all practices and interactions are grounded in an understanding of trauma and its impact on children's lives, promoting healing and recovery while avoiding re-traumatisation. Ensure the home meets all Ofsted regulations and standards, actively preparing for and participating in inspections. Develop, implement, and review individual care plans, promoting the health, education, and well-being of each child. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices that reflect current legislation and best practices in residential childcare. Work closely with children, families, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure the children's needs are met and their voices are heard. Oversee the effective financial management of the home, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation. Lead on recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring a high level of competence and retention.Requirements: Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children's home. Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection. Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of building and maintaining a motivated and high-performing team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and external stakeholders. Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
