Manchester £40,000 - £55,000 DOE + Benefits

A growing claimant law firm is seeking a Costs Draftsman to join its Manchester office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and successful legal practice with a strong caseload and clear opportunities for progression.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of costs matters, including drafting Bills of Costs, negotiating settlements and supporting legal costs recovery across claimant litigation matters.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Costs Draftsman or Costs Lawyer
• Strong knowledge of legal costs procedures
• Experience within claimant litigation costs
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage files independently

Key responsibilities:

• Drafting Bills of Costs and costs documents
• Handling costs negotiations and settlements
• Preparing matters for detailed assessment
• Managing costs files from inception to conclusion
• Maximising costs recovery while maintaining compliance
