FABRICATION & PRINT OPERATIVE

MANCHESTER

Open DOE + 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, Overtime at Time , Pension, and Healthcare (after probation)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

We're working with a well-established signage manufacturer who specialise in high-quality, bespoke solutions for a wide range of clients across the UK. Due to continued growth, they're seeking a Fabrication & Print Operative to join their production team.

This is a varied and hands-on position within the company's fabrication department, offering the opportunity to work across both fabrication and print production. The ideal candidate will enjoy a mix of practical and creative tasks, working with materials, lighting, and printed media to deliver top-quality signage products.

Key Responsibilities

Fabrication Department:

  • Manufacture and assemble illuminated signage, including lightboxes.
  • Cut and prepare metal extrusions accurately to specification.
  • Apply and wire LED lighting components.
  • Use hand tools and workshop machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Print Department:
  • Trim, mount, and finish printed vinyl graphics.
  • Assist with print production when required, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
  • Maintain a tidy and organised work area across both departments.

About You

  • Previous experience in signage fabrication, metalwork, or a similar workshop environment is desirable.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, saws, and other fabrication equipment.
  • Basic understanding of LED lighting and wiring would be an advantage.
  • Experience in print finishing or vinyl application beneficial but not essential. Reliable, flexible, and keen to learn multiple aspects of sign production.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
