Repairs and Maintenance Manager - Contract position

Key Role Description :

The role holder will be responsible for effectively managing and organising the front line delivery of work activities and lead on strategic marketing and development of venues and localities.

The role holder will work closely with service manager and key stakeholders to effectively engage with residents and local communities in order to develop and deliver appropriate programmes and activities.

The role holder will work in collaboration with other key stakeholders to develop effective partnerships, linkages and greater coordinated working with partner to achieve services objective and ensure joined up delivery and maximum efficiency .

Key Role Details :

  • Motivate and develop team members through performance management
  • Ensure that the team are effectively engage with stakeholders to deliver work
  • Lead on the development of strategies relating to service improvements
  • Supervise and manage all activities on site including contractors
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships working ,take lead role in communication , engagement and delivery of joined up approaches
  • Understand the needs and priorities for the local communities and customer groups
  • Be protective in identifying and supporting implementation of change
  • oversee the production of effective and accurate management of information

Role Duties :

  • Effective Management of a high quality repairs and maintenance service
  • Repairs and Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing the reactive repairs , service and major repairs service, void properties and the disrepair .
  • Ensure the repairs service is appropriately resourced and managed
  • Ensure the team contributes to the achievements of the strategic priorities
  • Promote a high performance culture and ensure a right first time approach
