CK Group are recruiting for a Technologist, to join a global materials manufacturing company, based near Wigan, on a full time, permanent basis.The Company: Our client is a global leader in manufacturing glass for architectural, automotive and technical sectors. They strive to be the best innovator of high-performance glass and glazing solutions. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Technologist to join their Decarbonisation Technology Team and are offering a competitive salary from £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.Location: The Technologist position will be based at the company's site near Wigan, easily commutable by road from Merseyside including Liverpool, Ormskirk, Skelmersdale and Manchester. Please note a full UK driving licence and car ownership is required due to the company's location.Technologist (Melting Process) Role: Your main duties will be:

  • Driving efficiency improvements within the melting process.
  • Helping the company to meet their decarbonisation and sustainability goals, and improving profitability.
  • Delivering R&D projects.
  • Providing technical support to global sites - overseas travel required.
Your Background: The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/Physics/Maths/a related Science.
  • 3 years' industrial experience in a Material-related field.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
