They are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Signalling Project Engineer to join the team.

Responsibility for Project Delivery across the full Project Lifecycle through Engineering, Procurement, construction and commissioning Full control of project budget and schedule including cashflow and change management. Identify and manage specifically those areas that represent significant risk to the Project. Co-ordination of multi-disciplinary teams required to delivery complex EPC Energy Projects Coordination of multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver designs which are safe-by-design, sustainable, digitally enabled, cost-effective, compliant and technically sound. Co-ordination of the engineering and design interfaces between Costain and other project partners / supply chain partners Ensuring all disciplines fully understand the detailed scope, basis of design, budget and programme requirements of the project Providing a commercial focus with a high level of challenge on project scope and protecting against uncontrolled scope creep Ensuring that key project and programme risks are identified early, and mitigated where possible, with issues and blockers escalated immediately Ensuring all services comply fully with Client & Costain governance processes, standards and obtaining necessary approvals Lead by example, displaying the Company's values and behaviours, and commitment to the highest standards of safe and ethical behaviour, to ensure safe and reliable operations and client satisfaction. Contractual communications, progress meetings, risk reduction meetings, cost reports and running / closing out contract actions Regularly reporting to senior operational management on the performance of the delivery for the project Ensuring that all resource requirements are identified and effectively utilised to allow execution of projects in accordance with the project requirements and targeting for maximum productivity and efficiency. Management of all interfaces between Costain and other project partners / supply chain partners Working closely with the procurement and sub-contract supply chain to ensure that all contract and delivery documentation is in place for the projects to progress into the construction phase and to ensure mechanical completion and handover is delivered to the right quality and to schedule. Ability to Work in a highly regulated environment

Responsibility for instrument discipline technical input for projects and/or proposals; including preparation, checking and/or approval of engineering documentation Organising discipline staff, allocating work and ensuring delivery against plan Mentoring and developing graduates and less experienced engineers Production of high-quality C&I engineering deliverables to schedule, budget and client satisfaction Ensuring all applicable national and international codes of practice, legislation and company/client standards and procedures are complied with Preparing equipment and materials requisitions for control systems, safety systems, analyser houses, field instrumentation and other instrument equipment Preparing installation scopes of works Reviewing supplier's quotations and preparing technical bid assessments

Serve as the primary liaison between the Engineering team and other departments and also external partners. Communicates with key project stakeholders; progress, design challenges and outcomes effectively to ensure alignment and manage expectations Manage the allocation of design resources, financial and material resources to optimise project design outcomes; design budgets, design forecast and ensuring design resources are utilised efficiently. Ensure that engineering outputs are in accordance with client requirements and standards. This will include, validation processes, testing and best practice to maintain design or product integrity. Managing the design team responsible for the project design deliverables ensuring they are completed on time, within budget while also facilitating smooth transition between project phases.

Communicate appropriately with other departments, project personnel, vendors and clients. Assist in developing the knowledge and skills, including assisting in training and technical development of less experienced team members. Line-manage a team of civil engineers carrying out performance management, team development, work allocation and administration of company line-management processes.
