They are easily accessible by tram and have modern offices in Manchester; this accounts assistant job has arisen due to continuous organic growth within the firm.Your new role You will be joining an experienced and leading team as an accounts assistant / bookkeeper, reporting to seniors above you. You will be surrounded by semi-seniors and seniors who will guide and assist you daily, having plenty of opportunity to learn from those around you. Your day-to-day duties will cover basic bookkeeping, working on sole trader and listed company accounts whilst assisting your manager with the preparation. You will be completing personal tax returns, VAT returns and working with multiple types of software from IRIS, Xero and Sage. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have previous practice experience, with knowledge surrounding account preparation. You will need to have previous experience with Xero and Sage software and currently completing your qualifications, ideally AAT. Other personal attributes will be required of you. This will include a motivated personality and an approach to taking on new challenges and assisting your colleagues' day to day.
