This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for individuals with mental health needs across Salford. You'll be integral to our integrated multi-disciplinary teams, working closely with health professionals to deliver the best possible outcomes.

What You'll Do:

As a Mental Health Commissioning and Review Officer, your primary focus will be on:

  • Completing 12-month statutory reviews of mental health care packages in strict accordance with the Care Act and Section 117 of the Mental Health Act.
  • Working within integrated Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs), with one post based at Prescott House in Little Hulton and the other at Ramsgate House in Lower Broughton.
  • Delivering essential social care statutory functions as part of Salford's Section 75 arrangements, embedded within Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
  • Collaborating closely with other Review Officers to ensure efficient and effective service delivery across all CMHTs in Salford.
  • Applying a person-centred and strengths-based approach to all aspects of your work, empowering individuals and promoting their well-being.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking experienced social workers who possess:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, BA Hons Social Work, MA Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in delivering relevant social care statutory functions within a mental health setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with service users, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • A commitment to a person-centred and strengths-based approach to social work practice.
  • The ability to work efficiently and flexibly to meet the diverse needs of the service.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a car are essential, as you'll need to travel regularly around Salford and to out-of-area boroughs for placements.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive pay rate of up to 30 per hour.
  • The chance to work within a progressive, integrated mental health service in a supportive environment.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development within Salford City Council.
  • The satisfaction of making a real difference in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

If you're an experienced Mental Health Social Worker ready for a challenging yet highly rewarding role, we encourage you to apply.
